I was able to pour a bottle of Black Barrel Jameson Whiskey from a cask and bottle it myself, create my own label, register it, and box it up for John. While the whiskey is created elsewhere now, the company has refurbished the original distillery and invited people to come to learn about the history of the company and to learn how the whiskey is caringly and lovingly created. One of our very first excursions was a trip to the foundation of Jameson Distillery in Dublin. And, in addition to a wonderful course, we were able to explore highlights of this beautiful country. However, this month, my colleague and long term Jameson Coach, Beverly Hill and I attended a Leadership course taught by Lois Banta and Judy Kay Mausolf in Ireland. Taking its place at the head of the family, Jameson 21 Years is a blend of rare single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys that were initially matured in a range of ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry seasoned casks at the Midleton Distillery for 18 years. 2,301 bottles of Jameson 21 Years will be available for whiskey fans to purchase via an online ballot to mark the end of the year. Jameson is concluding 2021 with a 21 year old whiskey, delivered with a twist.
